Area Operations Manager (Community South West)

We are looking for an experienced Hospitality Area Manager to join our Community Operations team. Someone who’s passionate about driving businesses and exceeding expectations, who cares about teamwork and knows all there is to know about consistently delivering a great guest journey.

Our Community pubs are exactly that, they are the heart of the community. They provide a space for quality time, a stopping place and somewhere to slow down and to unwind with friends, family and the dog. We think our pubs are how pubs should be. Our teams are encouraged to take the time to deliver little moments that matter to each and every guest.

In this role you’ll be responsible for our Community pubs in a South West patch spanning from Bristol, across the Cotswolds and Gloucester and downwards further to Exeter, this patch is on an exciting upwards journey, needing a hands on Area Manager to push it on to thrive. Due to the role we will need an experienced Area Manager with that attention to detail, accountability and great people management.

Key Attributes & Responsibilities:

  • Full P&L responsibility, with a focus on driving sales and delivering a great guest experience
  • Deliver on key KPIs, both financial and people focused
  • Effectively implement central offers and sales plans
  • Develop and grow your team to help them to maximise their potential through effective and inspiring leadership
  • Ensure our businesses are operated to the highest standards and exceed legislative guidelines
  • Participate in key projects or working groups as requirements
  • High investment capex projects

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Due to the area this role would pick up, we are looking for an experienced and seasoned Area Manager (3 plus years preferred) from a Pub Co background or similar industry
  • Experience of Capex Investment would be desirable but not essential
  • Able to demonstrate enviable P&L success
  • Must have strong team drivers and high sales culture
  • Someone with proven success stories in developing people
  • Driven to inspire, motivate, challenge and engage others, celebrating the successes of your team along the way
  • Able to dream big and maximise commercial opportunities
  • Someone who lives in or near the locations above, with a full UK driving licence
  • And above all else - a lover of our community pubs and passionate about national, local and pub sports!
