Communications Partner - Nationwide

The role will support our People and Support Centre teams to deliver a high volume of internal communications, across our 1500 pubs, as well as corporate functions.

Acting as an internal brand ambassador, the role will help articulate our company vision and transformation journey, identifying the channels and content formats that drive real engagement and ensuring our teams understand the critical role they play in delivering a great Guest experience and creating Pubs to be Proud of.

This role forms a key part of our commitment to continuous improvement of Team Engagement and Wellbeing through effective internal communication to our people.

Key Attributes & Responsibilities:

• Ownership of Operational communications to our pubs, as well as all people - based communications

• Supporting senior leadership with devising and implementing our Internal Communication strategy

• Managing a robust calendar of messaging and developing internal communication channels that simplify communication from our support teams into our pubs

• Developing inspiring and impactful internal communications campaigns and initiatives that keep our employees engaged and informed

• Creating engaging multimedia content and bringing in ideas for new formats

• Serving as a communication liaison for cross functional teams, providing advice and guidance on communication activities

• Seeking out news and stories from our pubs, which will engage teams, celebrate their successes, and support our key messages

• Analysing campaign engagement to develop approaches that ensure our communications are continually optimised for success

• To be curious and research communication and digital trends, ensuring continuous improvement and best practice. Look externally at what our competitors do

• Use creative communication methods that engage the diverse range of people and roles within the business

The Ideal Candidate:

• Significant experience of delivering an internal communication strategy that simplifies communication from support functions into multiple retail sites

• Significant experience in creating communication campaigns to drive engagement 

• Loves writing and has top-class writing skills, with the ability to quickly switch styles – from formal to informal – across a range of channels

• An expert eye for detail, you love producing top quality content. You know your stuff when it comes to spelling, grammar and punctuation – and you apply it

• A multi-tasking person with bags of energy to share. You thrive when you’re getting your teeth stuck into a range of exciting projects at the same time

•Solution focused with passion to drive change and encourage engagement across the business

• Prior experience of systems such as Yammer, Microsoft Teams
