Human Resources Assistant - Initially a 3 month FTC

We have an exciting vacancy for a proactive and enthusiastic individual to join our HR team. This is a fantastic springboard into the world of HR and would give some great experience of a busy HR team. You will be working closely with the Senior Human Resources Advisor in the timely and accurate processing of all aspects of the employee life cycle and supporting the team with ad hoc projects.

Key Attributes & Responsibilities:
  • Collate new starter and transfer information from the recruitment system, ensuring that the appropriate authorisation has been provided. Liaise with the wider operational HR team regarding any queries.
  • Raise contracts for all monthly paid new starters and existing employees and ensure that the relevant contracts, policies and paperwork are issued.
  • Process changes to employee records on the HR system and confirm any changes in writing to the employee. To include starter, leaver and transfer actions and pay changes.
  • Ensure all relevant paperwork has been received and saved to the employee file, including the correct right to work documents.
  • Chase any outstanding documentation needed for monthly payroll processes.
  • Communicate confidently and courageously with the Operational and Resourcing teams regarding terms and conditions and processes.
  • Update and record outcome of pre-employment medical questionnaire on HR system, liaising with HRBP and ER Partner where required.
  • Liaise with Support Services with regards to Council Tax to ensure deductions from payroll are accurate.
  • Process any Tupe changes, including starter and leaver actions and the collation of necessary documentation.
  • Manage all documents in line with legislation, GDPR requirements, Company policy & procedures and working practices.

The Ideal Candidate:

We are a looking for a strong team player that can demonstrate confident communication skills and a keen eye for detail.

You need to be able to work your way around MS Office and have strong administrative skills. Experience of a HR System is preferable but not essential, we will provide full training.
