The Job Role:
To work as a multi-site Business Development Manager working within The Statutory Code. Anticipating, responding to and supporting our Tenanted and Leased, Pillar and Foundation Partners in the successful operation of their business. To act as a knowledgeable and experienced “Industry advisor”.
- The success of this role will be achieved through exceptional operational management of an area of individual pub businesses
- To have quality business meetings with our pub Partners focusing on sales and profit growth offering on-going support
- Success in this role will be achieved by strong planning / operational controls in line with legislation, combined with the ability to motivate and influence our partners to keep their offer varied and exciting for customers
- A strong performance will be driven by the ability to coach, advise and develop our pub Partners
- To identify, source and recruit the best possible licensee for the business
- Maximise the potential of our teams, individuals and self to deliver operational excellence
- To bring to our business and consistently deliver the highest level of professionalism, passion and pride, always looking to raise the bar
- Sales and profit generation, understanding the consumer and market to drive sales and footfall, positioning the business to maximise all sales opportunities within the community it serves
- To read and interpret key financial information to drive profit in our pubs
- To operate our businesses to the highest standards, exceeding current business and legislative guidelines
- Influence and negotiate a positive outcome for the business with effective communication at all levels, this includes consumers, operators and the company as a whole
Profile of Ideal Applicant:
- Experienced multi-site operator (experience within the retail, hospitality or service sector is advantageous)
- Previous Profit and Loss responsibility with strong commercial awareness and business acumen. Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead, coach and influence our Tenanted and Leased Partners through a partnership approach
- High level of attention to detail, standards and offering
- Previous BDM experience within a Tenanted and Leased business
- Self-motivated with a drive to get things done in an environment that demands reaction at short notice either as an individual or as a team
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Flexible working to accommodate weekend working, peak trade visits, CAPEX projects
- IT literate with high levels of numeracy and literacy
- Full UK driving license
