We’re on the lookout for an experienced, guest-focused General Manager for the Red Admiral in Trowbridge.
About the pub
The Red Admiral is the heart of the local community in Trowbridge. Situated in a great location at the entrance to Hackett Place community area, the Red Admiral serves the local businesses and a growing residential area.
An L-shaped trading area is served by the large, main bar servery and a fully equipped galley kitchen including a front of house showpiece pizza station.
With a full and exciting food menu, the Red Admiral has a great food following but also a thriving wet trade aided by a regular Rhythm of the Week, poker nights, quiz nights and live sports from Sky and BT. The pub currently trades at around £13k a week on a 70/30 wet-led sales mix, but has the potential to hit £20k and beyond, particularly in the summer months.
This popular community food pub would thrive under an experience hospitality manager with a proven track record of delivering excellent service and standards. The pub benefits from a strong leadership team.

Key Responsibilities
Join us as a General Manager and you’ll:
- Demonstrate a passion for driving standards in the pub, across both service and offering, to deliver memorable experiences to every guest
- Maximise profit through conscious management of costs and controls
- Work in collaboration with the Recruitment Team to identify, source and recruit, as well as retain, the best possible Team Members
- Maximise the potential of your people through consistent motivation, engagement, coaching and development
- Take ownership of your own progress and continually strive to develop and learn
- Communicate business updates, values and changes clearly to the team to create a common goal
- Create a sense of belonging for both your team and our guests
We’re looking for someone with:
- Experience and evidence of having successfully managed a guest facing business
- A strong people focus and sense of community spirit
- A background in business investment/Capex/New Build launches, ideally
- Experience of, and passion for, consistently delivering a great guest experience and exceeding targets
- The ability to work well under pressure
- Versatility and openness to embracing new ideas and change
- Award winning training and development
