 The Role

  • The role will be a blend of classroom and online delivery to all levels of pub teams, therefore a solid knowledge of the hospitality industry is important.
  • Reporting to the Induction Manager, this role will also have the opportunity to be involved in inducting key roles across the business, ensuring they get the best start to their Marstons career.
  • Creating and delivering BOH and FOH material, therefore the ideal candidate would have both Kitchen and Guest facing knowledge.
  • Creating content and ELearning modules for each level of our career pathways
  • Align the Marston’s career path to company and HR strategy as well as our Apprenticeship and Induction programmes
  • Tracking and reporting on fundamental KPI’s
  • Engaging with various key stakeholders across the business

 Ideal Candidates

  • Knowledge and experience of working within an L&D team would be advantageous
  • Creative thinking is a must, as this role presents the opportunity to design and execute new courses and learning materials
  • A track record of writing training material and an understanding of blended learning techniques.
  • IT literate with proficiency in MS Office
  • A passion for developing people and themselves, with strong coaching and mentoring skills
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels. Confident in delivering key messages.
  • Must be able to work on multiple projects at once and manage their own projects from start to finish
  • You must be professional, flexible and self-motivated and demonstrate an ability to keep calm under pressure.
  • Must be flexible to work occasional evenings and overnight stays in line with the nature of the business
  • Ability to adapt at short notice in line with the business needs.
  • Confident and influential, with the ability to get things done
  • Full UK driving license and your own vehicle, as travelling throughout our UK wide estate is essential
