Early careers at Marston’s starts with our ‘Take 5’ work experience placement for year 10 and 11 students and you’re welcome to join us for one to two weeks to experience all aspects of a pub business and understand the different roles and opportunities available.

Application process

  1. Find the vacancy that appeals to you and apply.
  2. Our training provider will be in touch to discuss the apprenticeship and carry out a short telephone interview.
  3. If you are successful, you’ll be put forward for a short (up to one hour) interview at the location of the apprenticeship. If there is more than one position available, you may be asked to attend a slightly longer interview at an assessment centre.
  4. Ahead of your interview, ensure that you research Marston’s, prepare some questions, dress smartly, arrive on time and most of all, be yourself!
  5. You will be contacted by our training provider to discuss the results of your interview and, if necessary, be invited for a second interview.
  6. If successful, we will contact you to confirm your start date, wage and hours.
  7. Our training provider will be in touch to make an appointment to induct you onto your apprenticeship.
  8. You will be supported through your induction by your line manager.
